Wed 3rd May midweek bible reading Rom 13:1-10 and prayer topics

  • Continue to give thanks for the good weather and pray for ongoing safety around the farm
  • Continue to give thanks for physical new life for Olivia and Harrison and spiritual new life for those who have come to faith in Jesus.
  • Give thanks for answered prayer in relation to DUP amendment to abortion law passing!
  • Give thanks for all the talent our children have and for the videos they have produced for Children’s day. Give thanks for the influence of parents and grandparents and pray the service will be an encouragement to all to get to know Jesus better!
  • Pray for us as a family over the summer that we will know Christ’s presence and refreshment, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Pray that as I take some sabbatical time for further study on the topic of “Our union with Christ” that this time will prove profitable for life and ministry.
  • Pray for Alistair Campbell as he will be taking our online services over the next 4 Sundays and for John Stanbridge looking after pastoral care!
  • Continue to remember the Smyth / Dobbin / Wilkinson family & John Stanbridge and Alan Buick.
  • Continue to prayer for the national and local government for wisdom as the lockdown gradually lifts over the next number of months.
  • Pray that amidst the uncertainty about when Churches will be able to open again that the on-line services would continue to help people either come to faith or grow in their love for Jesus and others.
  • Give thanks for the ongoing opportunities to share the love of Christ with others through phone calls and practical help which is so much appreciated!
  • We continue to remember the bereaved and those most vulnerable in the congregation and society around us.
  • Pray for a movement of God’s Spirit across America amidst he tensions that have arisen from the death of George Floyd. Pray that many hearts and lives will come under conviction of sin and that people will repent of their raciest and other sinful attitudes!
